To provide care, support and guidance to children and youth within a safe, nurturing and protective environment.

To assist in establishing improved family relationships and wherever possible, family reunification.

To establish community support systems and resources which will serve to assist in maintaining family relationships after a residential placement.

To advocate for change in the child welfare system to increase supportive interventions for children and families.

Our Roles with Families

FRYS supports and encourages the participation of the family members in the case plan, when this is in the best interest of the child.     

Our agency staff strive to build strong relationships with the families of the children and youth in our care.

When family reunification is identified as our case plan objective, FRYS will support this by:

          -   Providing opportunies for family visitation.

          -   Providing teaching and guidance to parents regarding behavior management.

          -   Providing support and encouragement during the interm stages.
